Church Life

Jesus Christ once said:

“God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (in the Bible, John 3:16).

That’s a great summary of the message of the Christian faith:

  • God wants us, his creatures, to have eternal life  -  which means knowing him personally now, and being with him eternally beyond death.
  • Jesus Christ, the Son of God, willingly gave up his own life, taking on himself the punishment that we deserve for all the ways that we have ignored God and rebelled against him.  That’s how much God loves us!
  • Without faith in Christ, the only future that awaits us is to perish, cut off from God.
  • But if our trust is in Christ, then we can be certain of God’s forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life.

So it’s not being good, or going to church, or being spiritual, that puts things right between us and God  -  it’s trusting in Jesus Christ.

Our “Christianity Explored” course is a great way to discover more about this for yourself.  Through a series of DVD-talks, and by looking at parts of the Bible, you can discover answers for yourself.  You won’t be asked to sing, pray, or read out loud.  You can ask any question you want.

“Christianity Explored” is run regularly.  To find out more, contact us.
